Fire Department Levee

My Observations, Scanner Traffic, Takeaways

I heard the call live on my Uniden SDS 100 scanner and responded to the scene. The Sacramento Fire Department and a police helicopter were also dispatched.

The helicopter crew located a potential suspect walking northbound on East Levee Road. Officers detained the man, but the victim was still missing. Dispatch revealed the victim was inside a tent and unable to walk. Officers used the helicopter’s PA system to ask the victim to shine a light to be located.

Eventually, police found the victim hidden in a tent near the water. He was injured and unable to move. The fire department arrived and transported him down the levee on a stretcher. The police helicopter also reported that the suspect appeared to drop an item into the grass near the levee.
