Barricaded Suspect Surrenders After Antelope Standoff

On Saturday night, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office responded to a tense barricade situation in the Antelope area. Deputies surrounded a home on the 5100 block of Antler Run Place after a man reportedly threatened to kill his wife, family, and their dog before locking himself inside.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the call came in around 7:30 p.m. on October 25, 2025. When deputies arrived, they learned the suspect had made violent threats against his family and refused to come out.

Sheriff’s officials say the man was believed to have access to a firearm. Out of caution, nearby homes were evacuated, and the street was blocked off as deputies attempted to negotiate with the suspect.

After several hours, the man finally surrendered to authorities. He was seen being loaded onto an ambulance and taken to the hospital under sheriff’s escort.

Family and Neighbors Safe

Fortunately, the suspect’s wife, family, and their dog made it out of the home safely before the standoff began. Deputies confirmed no one else was injured during the incident.

Residents nearby described the area as tense but praised deputies for keeping everyone safe during the standoff.
